Our Story

Flow Bar opened its doors in Kallio in April 2023. But first there were two friends: Daniel "the German" and Richard "the Austrian". They met through work in 2020 and soon shared a dream of a bar that brings together Dan's love for food (Maulito Foodtruck, Café LOV) and Richie's passion for making NUDE ciders and drinks.

We found the right place in the heart of Kallio, with big windows, plenty of space, and made for events and parties. We renovated it ourselves, and in April 2023 the dream came true.

We love everything craft. Almost everything we serve comes straight from small producers, or we make it ourselves, and that goes for both food and drinks. Our selection is small but great. Many of our drinks are made from scratch in-house, like the Kallio Mule, our own take on the Moscow Mule.

Since then we've hosted around 250 parties and events: birthdays, DJ nights, record and book launches, networking events and Christmas parties.

We've both lived in Finland for more than 20 years, and we love mixing Finnish elements with our own roots. That means Austrian wines, German beers, Schnaps, German and Austrian food, and our love for German-language music like Neue Deutsche Welle.
